USA Design Agencies Hub

About

Design talent in the US isn't evenly distributed, and it isn't randomly distributed either — it clusters around whatever industry took root in a given city first. New York's identity firms trace back decades of concentrated advertising and branding expertise. Austin's hardware-software studios trace back to one influential design consultancy's local office. Seattle's industrial design houses predate the software industry that now shares the city with them. We built this site around that geography, sorting agencies by the city where their work and reputation actually took shape.

Why we sort by city

A company doesn't need to hire locally for design work specifically — several agencies on this site operate remote-first with no single office at all. But a city's design history still says something real about an agency's specialty and pedigree, and we think that context is worth surfacing rather than hiding behind a single undifferentiated national list.

How we verify

Every agency here is checked against its own site, named client work we can independently confirm, and third-party sources — industry press, review platforms, portfolio archives — rather than a self-submitted profile. If we can't find a real, checkable project behind a claimed specialty, we leave it off rather than guess. When a city's genuinely verified pool runs thinner than others — as it does for Boston on this site — we say so directly rather than padding the page to match a round number.

How agencies get added or removed

An agency earns a spot by having real, named client work we can verify. We revisit the list periodically and remove agencies whose sites go dark, whose claims we can no longer verify, or whose work has clearly moved on from where we've placed them.
